  i remember when i was "in" the org.

  had a ridiculous public talk outline defending the genesis flood myth.. do they have a current one doing that ?.

  Yes I was there. I worked all day as a volunteer then went back to the camp site and did guard patrol. My wife was also there but we didn't know each other then, she stayed in the marquee on site.

  Eight days! It's a struggle to cope with just three short days now. Sessions used to finish late in the evening, struggling to read your song book.

  Only one weekly meeting?

  new wt october 2023....first an article remembering 1923....they make changes, the had a "prayer, praise and testimony weekly meeting".. after an study article about obey, specially paragraph 18.. i have a wild guess, next year, just one weekly meeting for the borg..

  I could see the WT Society going to a single meeting per week, probably 2 hours in length just like we used to do.

  This could be Saturday morning/afternoon/evening, Sunday likewise. Or they may allow congregations to choose their own day and time. As for the public, when did any walk into a KH? Any 'private' notifications could be circulated on the Congregation Gossip What'sApp site.

  One KH could serve for plenty of congregations depending on travelling distances.

  My only question is how do the WT Society benefit from this? Other than the sale of a few KH's which is a one time sale of appreciating assets.

  After the chart was discontinued we had a small form which was filled in each month and placed on the KH notice board. As with the chart it was the responsibility of the Assistant Congregation Servant.

  I wonder if Atlantis or anyone else has a copy of his form.

  I remember it well. We had sheets of red and black numbers and each month carefully cut out the required digits and pasted them on the chart.

  That congregation was about the same size as ours, just shows how much effort was put in and how much literature placed.

  Some years prior to this (1950's) we rented our KH so the chart was mounted on a pole, rolled up at the end of the meeting and taken away until the next meeting.

  I don't know if Ray Franz ever came to Great Britain but I cannot remember ever hearing him.

  Any idea what year this might be? Has to be prior to 1980 when he resigned.

  Is WT Using ATTENDANTS At The Conventions To Be: "TOY COPS"

  i have heard from a few ppimis and several pimos that the attendants who are stationedly-assigned to the front entrances of the borgvenues (cahs and other arenas) have been checking to see if any persons (members and non-member visitors) have badges.

  on the other hand, if these persons don't have one, this is what i was told that these dubs do this: corral around the non-badge-wearing individual and interrogate he/she/them plus questioning them, "why are you here?!".

  also, even if that person or persons have an invitation plus showed it to these dubs, these toy cops still do that procedure.

  We had this announcement prior to our RC:-

  Safety and security are a very high priority for both us and the Amex venue. For this reason it is absolutely essential that delegates wear convention Lapel Badges at all times, including volunteers for pre-or post-convention activities on site; these should be viewed in the same way as an entry ticket. As in previous years, bag checks will be undertaken on entry to the venue. Please try to limit the size and number of bags as far as possible. Please note that flasks and metal cutlery of any sort are not permitted. Drinks in plastic bottles of 500 ml or less are allowable.

  I watched the streamed US Convention a few weeks ago. Not sure where it was recorded but there were 1,500 - 1,600 depending on the day. Only 4 baptised.

  It was torture, over 70 videos. They had missed off the two videos connected with the Saturday afternoon talk which showed a young sister refusing to pick up the phone when her mother called. DF'ed or DA'ed.

  we from the old year books that some kgb undercover agents became elders in high up positions.. i wonder if this is going on today?

  not just in russia but other congregations around the world?.

  when you think how long it takes to become an elder and all the talks and maybe judicial committees they were involved with.. anyway i’m just throwing it out there if someone wanted to pay me i am a current elder who is pima about intelligence or chance involved with the origin of the universe.. .

  I think the country was Romania where the split took place. Eventually the problem was resolved and it was Gerit Losch that gave the emotional talk about it.
